I'm in the same boat...I was told that every once in awhile you have to switch shampoos because your hair gets 'used' to it. Right now I'm using Finesse 2-in-1, not sure if it's volumizing or not....but it makes my hair so silky!!!

i have fine hair and i alternate between Daily Renewal 5x (makes my hair so soft) and Terax Delicato and their conditioner, for days i feel i need some moisturizing on my ends.

You have to try the new line called 'christophe's' , they have it at CVS for $6.99 and I have tried the volume one, and the straightening one and I LOVE them...The were designed by a celebrity hair stylist ( Halle Berry, Jessica Simpson)

Use regular Neutrogena shampoo (the clear kind, comes in a square bottle) conditioner too for 2 weeks. Sometimes constant use of the same products will leave a build up of oils or waxes in your hair and will weigh it down.

I was using Aussie Volumizing shampoo & liked it but I couldn't finf it this week , so I bught VO5, its a new lien of their, I can't recall the name, & its the refesh & rejunivate one or soemthing. It says volumizing on it --so far so good.
I use Aussie 3 minute miracle on the ends when it needs it.
I have to wash everyday too.

I try to rotate my shampoo/conditioners. It really works! Every several days, I use Frederic Fekkai Apple Cider shampoo- It really gets your hair squeaky clean & gets rid of all the Guck, it smells awesome too!!!

Sounds crazy but if you can don't wash it daily. Can you put it up for one day that you don't wash it? It can be the residue of the shampoo and anything you use with it that is making it act the way it is. After a few times you will notice it isn't that oily on the days you don't wash it.
Other than that I would use another shampoo for awhile. One that is a volumizing shampoo.
Or even try Johnson's baby shampoo?? I think that is supposed to be good for fine hair. Probably leaves less residue to drag your hair down.

Re: my hair need shampoo help..
You really need to experiment with your hair and find out what works best.
So many people always say not to wash your hair everyday .. however .. I absolutely need to wash my hair in the morning to get volume and bounce for the entire day.
I'm in the category of rotating shampoos and conditioners .. I can not use the same product for too many days consecutively .. I need to rotate in something else .. so say product A for a couple of days in a row .. then product B for one day .. then back to product A for a couple of days .. and back to product B .. but at some point after a few weeks of that .. I will need to rotate out of one of those, and bring in something new .. maybe it's crazy .. but it works for me.
I love the Abba shampoos & conditioners ... they make a volumizing shampoo, which I've tried .. and found helpful.
You might also want to experiment with your styling products, if you use any.
Also, try using a clarifying shampoo and lightweight conditioner .. and trying not to lock yourself into a particular brand for too long .. you say Thermasilk has stopped working for you .. switch off to something else for a while .. even the shampoos & conditioners I love will stop working for me if I stick with them solely for any length of time .. I believe that's why when you go to the salon and get your hair done, your hair responds .. not just because of the cut .. but because the change in shampoo & conditioner has helped to remove the residues left from what your brands have left behind .. even if they claim to be clean-rinse. I don't know .. that's just always been my experience.
Okay .. last thing .. remember a growing-out phase can be annoying .. but bare with it .. once you get a handle on what your hair needs, you'll be happier .. I've gotten frustrated during some grow-out phases .. and had cuts that put me back at square one because of my lack of patience.
