I've been using the same person to do special occasion styles for as long as I can remember....junior prom, prom, sorority formals, you get the idea. So I asked if she was available to do my hair for my wedding.
I've asked her several times already. First she told me (December) to wait until January because she has to get her 2006 book. In January she told me to ask her again in February. I asked her in the beginning of the month and she told me that she has a family reunion in August (my wedding is the 6th) but would double check and get back to me. I gave her my number and never heard from her. I left her another message at the salon on Friday and still have no heard from her.
Should I give up and find someone else? I really like this girl, but my dad is now concerned that if she's not reliable to tell me if she's available, she won't be reliable the day of.
What would you do?

Re: My hair...what to do?
I would be worried too. If she is this flakey just about the trial.......There are many people who do great updos. I wouldnt risk it. What would you do if she was late or didnt show at all.

Personally, I would book someone else. I understand the loyalty, but she should have some loyalty to you as well. This is a very important day for you. I wouldn't wait much longer. A lot of vendors are booked even now for your month, so I would start looking. If you want, call her one more time, tell her you are planning to look for someone else and see what she says. Good luck!

I would find someone else. I'm in the process right now because of a similar situation.

I would start looking around, and going on trials. Hair ppl tend to book early and you don't want to stress at the last minute trying to find someone.

I personally would book someone else. If she keeps giving you the run around she is not worth your business. I would go with someone who wont keep putting you off.
