My hamster died....

our first one died,
the one at fiances house, we got it after going out for 6months.. it was a sad day today, the other one(at my house) is currently sick

I'm sorry about your hamster. My family dog died last month and we were all devastated. It takes time but it will get better.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know what it died from.

If the other one is also sick, maybe it's a bacterial infection, and you could get antibiotics.

I know a lot of vets don't see exotics, just check the phone book.

However, if you've had both of them for a while, they may just be at the end of their lifespan....I hate to sound so harsh, but I wouldn't want you to spend money on an office visit if these hamsters are more than 2 years old. They usually don't live past that...3 years is considered very,. very, very old for a hamster.

Once again, I'm so sorry. No matter what the pet is, hamster, bird, cat, dog it's still a part of the family.
