I got one too, and no I really don't know if it's strong enough to hold a heavy dress. I think maybe it could but I'm afraid if I try and the hanger bends I'll regret trying.

I don't think the hanger will bend. It's not so much that it's flimsy as much as it's SMALL. I think the worst thing that could happen will be the dress falls off it. I'm getting at least one damn picture with my dress on that hanger though! I could always hang my after party dress on it, too.
