My house went on fire!! - *****UPDATE*****
***UPDATE***
Thanks girls for all of your posts and prayers. My parents and kitty are now staying in a Residence Inn for the next few weeks (we hope not longer) until they can move back into the house. I'm now back in NY and it was so hard leaving them this time around, as it is always. I'm just so thankful that no one was seriously hurt and unfortunately whatever is lost can not be replaced. We hope to start seeing some improvement this week with insurance people and adjusters. I just have to say, DON'T EVER BUY A FORD!
Thanks again for listening & caring.

I usually don't post these types of messages, but this has been the week from hell.
My parents live in Florida now, but its still my home...
The fire started in the garage by my dad's car, a Ford Explorer. Thankfully my father was home when the fire started because we could have lost everything. He heard some popping noises coming from the garage and when he opened up the door leading into the garage from the house, the entire car exploded before him. The smoke was so thick, he quickly opened up the big garage door to let all the smoke out and fire. He then closed the door behind him, ran through the house and out the front door with my cat and his cell phone in his hands. He called 911 and within minutes the fire and police came. My mom got the frantic phone call at work and had a co-worker drive her home immediately.
While my mom was on her way home, she called me in NY to tell me what happened. I was a freaking mess!! I got on the next flight out to be down there with them.
We lost a lot of personal items from clothes, golf clubs, my great grandma's dishes, blankets, bicycles, all my baby stuff, all things we stored in the garage because they do not have a basement. My bedroom is destryoed as well. We have tons of water and smoke damage. I've attached a picture. Sorry its so long.. I could go on forever.
