you can put it on the bottom. that is appropriate.

I think centering it on the bottom is fine too.

I am having both at the same place and had a seperate card. Not necessary but it was what i wanted.

Yeah ChristineC it is implyed with the invitation so I guess its not necessary. Im going to leave it up to my mom to decide.

I put recemption immediately following at the bottom, centered, and in the same font size and style.

Hey, we had the same invite. And we also didn't put anything about reception, b/c they were in the same place (like Christine68 suggested).
