My Invitations with Calligraphy w/ pics!!! (Both American & Chinese)

I dont think I showed you guys my chinese invitations. Well FH is chinese and fmil insisted that the chinese friends and family receive a chinese invitation that was red and gold only because it was bad luck to send them any other color. That gave me the excuse to have another invite designed, LOL!! Well I went to etsy and had them made and I added a ribbon and a rhinestone brooch.

My american invites which I also got from etsy..I added the rafia, shell bead and rhinestones for the extra bling effect.

I want to give a vendor rave to my calligrapher as well. She was so sweet. I found her online and she did all my calligraphy is 2 days, she is in michigan, and I got the calligraphy on my placecards for FREE!!!

FM me if you want her info. She was the most reasonably priced out there but you do have to pay for shipping there and she covers it back to you.

My american invites came out to only $0.61 each and the chinese ones were $1.05 due to the shape....I am mailing them out TODAY!!!!!!!!!!

Its all becoming really REAL NOW!!!

I love the fact that you incoporated your FH's culture in your invites. You're shower looked amazing! Love all the decorations!

I tried to incorporate his culture and mine. With the shower it was an asian theme at a spanish restaurant, since I am spanish.

For the wedding I wanted his mom happy so I got the chinese invites and it gave me a reason to design 2 invites, LOL. Our RD will be at a chinese restaurant in flushing so she sort of gets the banquet with less people. We are also doing the tea ceremony during the reception and I will be wearing a chinese red dress.

We did the tea ceremony too but not during the reception. It was immediately following the american ceremony.
Which restaurant in flushing are you using? I've been to a few of them.
