My Invites!

Hello All! Just wanted to share that my invites went out a little over a week ago and the response has been unbelievable! Not the response cards, I mean the response to the invite!! We sent handmade scrolls w/ platinum dowels wrapped in silver tissue and mailed in iradescent/clear mailing tubes. Each scroll was tied w/ silver ribbon and a ceramic scented flower & our inserts were tied together with ice blue ribbon. They are GORGEOUS!! We designed every detail and had them made (we simply did not have the time, but I wish we could have!). After every detail was chosen, and the actual order was placed, it took 7 days for me to get my invites in my hand! Amazing! Every person that has received one has called us to say that they loved them! They were shocked to get these beautiful mailing pouches in their mailboxes and not one has been damaged! We are really excited now and our guests are truly pumped! I just wanted to share and only other brides would care about this topic!!! Thanks! Ayanna

Yes, please give us more details. I've been searching for invites for the last 2 months and can't find anything that catches my eye. Yours sound incrediably beautiful and definitely unique.

Hello All! The invites were a little pricey, but well worth every last penny! They were not unreasonable and in fact were around the same price of any designer invite. That's how we made our decision b/c it was comparable in price to other more traditional but unique invites that we had seen. The company is called Michelle Arwood, Ltd. and she is in Newnan, GA. She normally uses gold dowels and cream paper, but our colors are platinum and ice blue, and so we had to find alternatives. She searched and we searched and she actually sent us a sample of white oriental silk paper that was BEAUTIFUL!!! They are perfect! My only suggestion is allow an extra day or so for delivery, b/c they were due to me on a Sat. and they mailed them to me on that Mon. instead, so I got them Tues., which made it a 10 day turn around, not 7. Other than that they are perfect!!! Also, you have to come up with your own Copy, b/c there is no standard invitation wording... Some people use poems, but she doesn't have a sample of invite wording, so you have to create it yourself (or use books, etc.). Her number is 678-423-9945. Tell her that Ayanna in NY sent you!
