My job needs the drama llama - DO NOT QUOTE!
Don't quote me I will be taking this down.
I am on the Christmas party committee at work. We have to pick out six menu choices so we sent around the menu and told everyone to return their choices to me or 'Mary.' After we got back the choices we sent out the actual party flyer with the amount and date/time etc. It said to give the money to me and two other people on the comittee of six that I picked based on their location in the office ( we are all spread out ).
So, I realized that I didn't include 'Mary' as a money person so I went up to her and apologized and told her that it was a total oversight and I should have included her since she was a 'menu contact person.' She said no problem.
Fast forward to today, a coworker overhears 'Mary' practically in tears that she 'thought' she was on the committee but she wasn't on the flyer so she guesses that she is no longer on it and she is SO upset by it. So the head of the committee goes up to her pretending he didnt know this and reminded her of the meeting today and she says that 'she is too upset to be on the committee and she wants nothing to do with it'
and get this - SHE IS MAD AT ME!!! because i left her name off of a flyer
GET A HOBBY!!!
UGH!!! I try to do something nice . . .that's it! After this i am going to just do my work and go home and thats it . . . this is worse than high school!!!
There were only THREE names on teh paper and it is a SIX person team so WHO CARES?!
