My journey into the world of table linens...
So this morning I met my floral designer, Matthew Robbins of Artfool, at a table linen showroom in NYC.
To give you a little background on Matthew, he is in Martha Stewart's Wedding magazine every month. In fact, he has the cover in the March issue. He is also in this month's Modern Bride (or Brides-I forgot) with the garden wedding spread. You guys have definitely seen his amazing work in all of the wedding mags.
Anyway, we went to this showroom and they had the most beautiful linens. I liked all of the sparkly stuff. We decided on this chocolate organza overlay that has gold embroidery and is also hand painted. We also decided to put a gold linen underneath it.
Now I am home, and I am completely confused to whether I like it or not. They gave me this swatch, but it is so hard to tell. Matthew and the woman at the store both loved it. Should I just trust that in the end it will be amazing. I have no talent for imagining how it will all come together.
