My July 6th Wedding Review EastWind ...(Long)
Finally got the time to write all my thoughts together. Here is my July 6, 2003 Wedding Review.
Dress (Commack Wedding Center)
I really don't reccommend this place to anyone. I saved a couple of $$ but all the aggravation I had to go through was not worth it.
I was told so many different 'stories' from different people. Bob wouldn't give me a fitting for my dress until 2 weeks before the wedding. Then the woman who was doing my fitting got sick (gee i would be sick too if i was the only one doing all the alterations and worked 70 hrs a week). So when i went to my 2nd to last fitting my dress was 2' off the floor!
At my pick up they didnt want me to try it on. They were like 'Heres the dress, sign that its ok and you tried it on and pay the alteration $$'. Well it was 2 days before the wedding and i was total bridezilla. So let me try my dress on!!! They half a$$-ed showed my mom how to bustle the dress. When I got home that night my mom made me try the dress on so she could figure out how to bustle it. I could go on forever!! about this place.
BM Dresses (Fantasia Bridal Center)
Excellent. Very polite, always answered my questions when I called to check on everyone's fittings. Everyone's dress looked great. Had no problems with them.
Tuxes (Men's Warehouse)
I had a coupon from Brides magazine for $49-79 for the rental including everything. Plus hubby's tux was free. I think the final price with tax was around 70 for the tux, vest, ties, shoes, cuff links, and free dress socks.
The only problem was that my brothers tux the buttons were falling off...
Invitations (Sweet Nut Hut - Cathy)
I got my invites and table cameras from Cathy. She was so great to work with. She was very helpful with arranging the invitations and sweet and pleasant.
Hair (Ciro)
JN recommended him to me and he did an excellent job with my hair. It stayed all day and was so pretty. :)
Makeup (Jacqueline Nicole)
Fabulous job at my trial and even more fabulous the day of the wedding. She did such a great job with my makeup. She relaxed me too. :) It was hot that day and my makeup didnt budge at all. I used CoverGirl Color Stay lipstick and the only thing i had to reapply was the clear gloss. I didn't have to worry about a thing.
Photographer (ADA Studio - Laura)
Eastwind's house photographer. I found out a week before the wedding that they switched photographers on me. They didn't even call to let me know. If I didn't call to confirm everything with the vendor I would have been more p'd off when they showed up the day of the wedding. But I can say, she showed up on time. And she got some good shots but I wasn't totally pleased with her photo skills and her attitude. I mean i was such in a fog that day that it shouldn't be my job to tell her how to do her job.
We were supposed to do more outside shots at Eastwind. That never happened. All my pictures are dark and infront of a dark Maple tree.

Videographer (Paragon Productions - Mike)
Excellent!!! My video came out so great. I am so thankful for my DVD. I hardly noticed him the entire day! He got great shots and great table interviews. Super Super Super!!!

Limos (Rose Limo)
Showed up early, polite, helpful. Got a great deal from them. Very pleasant with all of the family. I had ordered three limos that day with alot of people. They knew where they were going and were on time.
Flowers (Jack and Rose)
Beautiful!! Everything was so beautifully arranged. Jack was so great to work with. Gave me great advise for the day of the wedding. He knows how to take what you are thinking and bring it to life.
DJ (Tommy's Tunes)
Eastwind's house DJ - Joe E. was sooooo Excellent and Funny. They played a great variety of music for people to dance to.
I also had Gene sing live for an hour after the cocktail hour and people couldn't believe that he was actually singing. Everyone had a great time dancing!

The place was beautiful, the food was excellent, the staff was so great and polite to everyone! I couldn't ask for anything better! People were amazed that there was so much room during the cocktail hour (everyone had an actual place to sit).
Honeymoon (Caribbean Cruise - Celebrity Century - Dawn @ Cruise One)
Dawn was so so great to work with. She is a very honest person. And very helpful.
Our cruise was the best. It was our first real vacation for the both of us and we enjoyed every miniute of it. I think we did more that week that we did for 2 years :)
I think i've become addicted to cruising - I think it is the best experience you can have.
I hope I'm not forgetting anything ...
But I would like to thank everyone on this board to for helping me plan along the way and getting me through crazy days. :)
