Michele, I would LOVE to come to LI for a knitting day. I can teach you how to knit, and crochet. We can do a knitting GTG!!! I am by no means an expert on either. I only know the very basics. My sister is amazing - can do all kinds of cable knits and she makes INCREDIBLE finger puppets. We took classes together years ago. Crocheting I have made lots of blankets - and a great granny square purse. I am making a head wrap now. It's a good hobby but it can be very frustrating. I prefer knitting but find it a lot harder.

Every kid I know is outifitted in something by their 'Aunt Carp' (my nickname) except poor little Sophia. I was going to get out today for some fluffy white yarn to make her a christening blanket. Maybe these great responses will motivate me!
