My last resort - PLEASE help me find these glasses =(

My last resort - PLEASE help me find these glasses =(

Hi ladies. Ok, I know many of you are extremely resourceful on the intenet...this is my last attempt to find them...

The night of our engagement, my FSIL got us beautiful Lenox Champagne Flutes. They had a gold rim, with a frosted bride on one stem, and a groom on the other.

Needless to say, an ex-girlfriend of one of the GM broke the bride glass on New Years Eve, and has not replaced it

Now I know the GM tried to find them, but he admitted he was out of resources. I have searched e-bay, all the replacement sites, and Lenox. They have been discontinued.

Have any of you seen these in your travels? I have not told my FSIL yet, but I have until Memorial Day to try and replace them...

Thanks ladies.

Did you try replacements.com?

I found out its in the wedding promises line, but I haven't found it yet.

Replacements.com doesn't have any in stock. But you should sign up for notification in case they get any.

also you should check the Lenox outlets...

or maybe ask FSIL where she found them.

I just registered at replacements.com for the glasses. Thank you! I am on a couple of these lists now...but no luck so far. I will keep my fingers crossed...

Yes, I will ask FSIL...I have just been a chicken!

Also, I was giving this girl (the one who broke it)the benefit of the doubt, that she would do this research and find the replacements!!! Now the guy broke up with her, and I am stuck.

But you ladies are very helpful...

YOU ROCK!!!

All of you you thank you...

But IRISH TRACY YOU ROCK!!!

It's more the sentimental value at this point...I'd like to use the glasses we received as a gift on our engagement night at our wedding! Plus, it irritates me that someone broke one of them and failed to replace it (mind you this happened on NEW YEARS!).

Anyway, I placed a bid (first time...but you bet I'll be watchin' like a hawk!)

Thank you again...

Rosebud, if it's your first time bidding on ebay, a couple of things you should know:

1. You can put in as high a bid as you want, and it will automatically only increase the amount if someone else bids. (For example, let's say you put in a maximum bid of $40. It will list your bid as the starting price-- which I think was $29.95 on that item. Then, if someone else comes on and bids $32, it'll automatically increase your bid up to $32.50. If someone bids again, it'll keep increasing your bid until it hits $40.) I didn't understand that in the beginning, so I kept having to go and re-bid.

2. There are a lot of people who use software to go in and bid during the last few seconds of an auction. So annoying to think you're the high bidder, and then at the very last second, you get outbid by 50 cents or $1!

You may know all that already, but I wanted to mention it just in case. I don't want to see you lose this auction!

Re: My last resort - PLEASE help me find these glasses =(

Thanks for the explaination violetfairy! The only thing I ever bought from e-bay were textbooks...BORING! I don't even think I had to bid for those

I put my max bid at $40, and told them to automatically increase it so it's the highest bid...there are 2 days left to go now...

I will definitely let you ladies know if I've one!!!

pschia - that's the worst part about ebay, the waiting.

It's looking good so far - 19 minutes to go and no other bids
