My license is going to be suspended!

If I dont answer the ticket i got when I had my accident.!!!!!!

I had given the cops the wrong insurance card and they wrote me a ticket for uninsured vechicle. So I sent in a copy of my insurance card with the ticket and pled not guilty.

I guess they never got it!! I got a letter stating that my license will be suspended if I dont go down to the violations bureau. So now I have to take off from work on Thursday and go fight this!!

I am so mad right now!!!!

1. Have GEICO fax or e-mail you a proof of coverage letter for the date of the accident.

2. Go to court with it.

3. No suspended license.

Also, did you have any information that shows the city office got the violation and the insurance card? (i.e., registered mail receipt)

Years ago, my friend got a ticket for stopping on train tracks in Port Jeff, so she got like a town and a county ticket. She PAID them... the cop forgot to cancel the county ticket... and she got a letter like you did...

She had to go to the DMV with copies of canceled checks, etc. DMV told her the cop made a HUGE mistake, and thank god she had the records to fix it.
