My Life Revolves around FOOD!!

I am posting on this board for the first time.
I'm not trying to lose weight, per se, but trying to cut back on how much I eat b/c I eat way too much.
My thoughts all day are about food, what I'm eating next, when can I have it, I can't even concentrate on work!! Sometimes I'm not even that hungry and all I think about is food!
And I'm always hungry like 1/2 an hour after I eat. It's a never ending cycle.
Is anyone else like this? How can I stop being so focused on food? I know part of it is because I'm unhappy at work, but there's not much I can do about it now.

I'm in the same boat.

While this isn't really a solution, I know it's good to eat a lot throughout the day. It keeps your metabolism running which makes your body burn fat because it's digesting constantly. The key is to eat HEALTHY foods! Like if you snack on rice cakes, carrot sticks, some fruits, etc... that will help keep your metabolism up and nourish those cravings! Unfortunately for me, I tend to have a few girl scout cookies, some Chex mix, a piece of chocolate.... which isn't the right way to go!

I am the same way with food during the day. I try to drink a lot of water, because I read that people commonly mistake dehydration for hunger and reach for a snack instead of a drink.

I also eat all day long, but not very much of anything. My father laughs when ever the topic of eating five to six meals a day comes up, because I have been eating like that since I was a kid. Whenever I am hungry I eat something, but I don't necessarily eat a lot, even at lunch and dinner.

I usually have soup or a WW, HC, LC meal for lunch. But throughout the day I eat a banana, some grapes or an apple and I always have a jar of peanuts on my desk. The jar is better than a bag of anything, because it is too easy to eat a whole bag of something before you realize you have eaten all of it. I pour some peanuts into the lid and eat just that much twice a day. For the days that I really can't stop eating, I go for the carrots I leave in the fridge.

I have been doing this during the work week for a while. It took me a while to get used to two pieces of fruit, some peanuts and maybe some carrots over potato chips, pretzels and whatever the evil people bring to the office and leave in the kitchen. But now I rarely eat 'bad' food at work. And I treat myself every other week or so to a bag of chips from the corner deli. And I am not starving by the time I get home for dinner either.
