I had to drop off my little boy this morning, he is probably going to get most of his teeth extracted. He was a stray dog and in very bad shape, He already had this done last year, but the teeth they left are in bad shape.
It breaks my heart knowing what he is going through right now, i love him so much, Sometimes i think i love him more the FH
But he is the best dog in the world, If i even mentioned what we have spent in vet bills, most of you would pass out. But he is our angel and we will spend any amount to keep him healthy
I am waiting for the call to pick him up this evening

i know how you feel! i was a mess when i dropped my kitty off at the vet for declawing & neutering. he had to stay a day at the vet, and i was so depressed! but they know what they are doing, and your little guy will be fine!

I know what you mean, we love our dog like people love their kids, I would spend any amount of money to make sure he is okay. I am sure all will go good, just give him lots of love when he gets home

thinking of you guys ... he'll be romping around soon enough
my layla was sick over halloween and was in the vet hospital for a few days, its horrible to think what they go through and they cant express what they feel, pain etc...

I'm sure he'll be fine, but I know how you feel! I have a dog and my FH has one too and we love them like if they were our biological children!!!!! My FH's dog is having some health issues and we've spent a ton on vet bills, so I hear you. But so long as they're healthy, in the end that's all that matters.

Kim....we should compare, i swear to god i think that when they see my coming with this little dog, that i dont even let his feet touch the floor, they charge me so much more.
Last week i took him for his yearly checkup and rabies shot. $411 bucks
The teeth surgery will be around $450-$500 today
Thats not including the thousands in the past year and half i have spent

Nicole, they charge similar for Petey, too
I just spent $70 on Shampoo & conditioner for him that will make his coat softer, it's an oatmeal base, now that's alot more than I spend on myu own shampoo & conditioner

awww nicole stinky!! i think that the irs should make vet bills tax deductible bc the prices of taking ur pet to the vet is redic!! that was the common question people ask during tax season and i think that if you are able to deduct out of pocket medical expenses for yourself and your dependents then you should also be able to do it for your pets haha, maybe i'll write the irs a letter.
