My long and heartfelt goodbye....
I can’t believe the time has come to write my goodbye! This past year has been a joyous whirlwind… and I’ve watched my countdown go from over 350 days, to hitting double digits, to single digits… and now to just 2 days.
I never thought that a simple website could bring people together… but Ron, Liz, and the whole LIW crew have created such a wonderful forum for sharing our lives through these crazy times.
So, first I’d like to thank Ron and Liz for creating such an amazing place – and for doing such a fantastic job at keeping the real brides in and the fake ones out! And for truly CARING about each and every one of its members.
I also want to thank all of the beautiful ’06 brides whose weddings inspired all of the ’07 girls, with a special thanks to Camacho, Kittythestray, and Conigs25.
Thank you ALL of my ’07 girls… I was truly amazed at all of the prayers and well-wishes we received after Steve’s accident, and I was just so touched. Your kind words in posts asking about how he was doing, and in tons of FMs really made a difference – and I cannot thank you all enough for being there for me. I wish I could name each and every single one of my ’07 girls to personally thank each of you, but please know that every single person has made a difference to myself and to Steve. A special shoutout to Athee07, vmystique, naps714, luvabul, dee606, rfilipofornow, gettinhutched, ik1, acsm, jennyal, rachie, ef922, lilqtpie2181, danirella, espo22, and licee15 who I have shared so much with over this past year!
To all of my date twins – we’ve been waiting for this day for SO long, and it is finally here. I hope the sun shines for all of us! and if it rains… then let’s splash around with the loves of our lives because that’s what matters most.
And of course… my best friend… jennielovesbryan. I love you! See you tonight ?
And last… but definitely not least… I want to thank Hunnybunnyxoxo and Bettybcafe. I know that we have never actually met in person, but you two have just been so sweet and kind and I really feel like we’ve made such a wonderful friendship over the past year. Lisa, I can’t wait to see pictures from your wedding and honeymoon! I know you must have been a stunning bride! And Millie, my wonderful date twin, I wish nothing but the best for you and your fiancé on your wedding day and all the days after. THANK YOU girls for helping me, being there for me, and showing me the true kindness of strangers.
Today I’m headed to Bliss for a little pre-wedding treatment…. later today I have my manicure, and tonight is our rehearsal dinner. Tomorrow I have my pedicure, and then I’ll be spending the day/night with my wonderful bridesmaids and family at the hotel… and bright and early Saturday morning I’ll be getting ready for the most wonderful day of my life... and marrying my one true love. Then off to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora! Thanks again everyone, and I will post pictures as soon as I can.
