My man is sick......do you think it would be wrong of me if I......

slept on the couch in our room instead of in the bed with him? I just can't chance getting sick since we are going away on Tuesday! But I don't want to hurt his feelings, either. He's sleeping now, and has a 101 temperature, and so I know it must be something bad because he NEVER EVER gets sick, and I get sick so easily. Would you be offended to wake up and see your significant other sleeping on the couch on the other side of the room?

I wouldn't be offended. If I were that ill I'd absolutely prefer to have the bed to myself. Plus, you need to stay well!

Yeah, I guess he'll be fine with it. On the other hand, I REALLY want to go wake him up because I'm SOOOOOOOOO bored! It's easy to forget how much he amuses me.

no you are not wrong. I have slept on the couch for the past three nights cuz fi has this bad cold.

It would be wrong, if you made him sleep onthe couch with his cold.

FH and I are in this exact situation right now...I have this horrible cough.sore throat thin going on...plus was an idiot today and got sunburnt on top of it all...not sure if Ia m hot or cold, want covers or not, etc....and FH is sleeping on the futon in our room..his choc,e he is startinga new job soon and cannot afford a cold either

Don't worry, thats what we do when one of us is sick. Plus, hate to say it, but you probably have already been exposed! Hope he feels better.

My bad, I made my FH sleep on the couch when he had a cold b/c it was not laundry day and I would have had to change the sheets for no reason!!

If you are worried sleep on the couch. I don't think it is wrong...he'll probably sleep better also.

Ok, How much do I love him? He just woke up and I told him I am sleeping on the couch tonight and he said NO! He will sleep on the couch. Then tiffed over it so he knew how much I cared, and settled with me sleeping on the couch

Honestly, if you're going to get sick, it's not going to be from sleeping in the same bed. You've already passed germs from one another prior to the appearance of his symptoms, so I say sleep wherever you want and start taking some echinacea. Germs don't care where you sleep. The suckers will hunt you down and kick your asss!

I've never thought about not sleeping with Jim when he's sick. Maybe because Im fairly healthy, but I feel guilty letting him toss and turn alone.

Besides. I would probably get his germs from other stuff than just sleeping next to him. The only time I can think of NOT sleeping with him is if he's gonna keep me awake, but even then I doubt it.

I like to be there when he needs water for his cough or to reach out and see how hot he gets. Im a nut.

I've never gotten sick from just sleeping in the bed with Jim. I get sick from not washing my hands enough if he's sick or drinking from his glass. Even then rarely.

I am just a freak about stuff like this. Jim calls me a mother hen when he's sick.

Who knows maybe you get sick REALLY easy. I have the advantage of being the one between us who never gets sick.

Besides you're not a bad FW, your a badass FW hahahaha
