How do you guys feel about having a man of honor? Have any of you done this or are you planning on doing it? FH wants my best friend to be one of his groomsmen instead of my MOH and he said that my sister should be my Maid of Honor.
My sister lives in the Dominican Republic (uhmm so how is she going to help me??) We're close, but my BFF and I are much closer.. What are your opinions??

I think its your wedding and you should do what you want to do. I love the idea of having a man of honor!

my friend had two 'bridesmen' in her wedding...
you should ask who is you want..doenst matter what sex...

I had my brother as my Man of Honor and my DH had his sister as his Best Woman. My brother's primary role was to step in if my mom got overwhelming in helping me plan (which she never did). My Man of Honor didn't really help much for wedding/showe/b-party planning, but I never asked him for help either. I agree that you should do what you want and if your Man of Honor is extremely important to you, he'll step up where you need him to.
