My May 18 Wedding Review (now with pics!!!)

A little late but here it goes..............

CRESCENT BEACH CLUB - It was fantastic. We were blessed with great weather, had the ceremony and cocktail hour outside, a beautiful sunset...everything you hope for when you book there!! The staff was great. Several girls have FMd me their concerns about 'attitudes' from the staff but let me say that they were all great!! The food was fantastic and I heard the cocktail hour was great ( I seemed to miss it somehow) Overall, I could not have asked for a better place and better service.

GRAY STUDIOS - Photography. Steve was awesome. After a mishap in trying to get to the Arboretum to take pics, we recovered nicely and took most of our pics on the beach which is what I really wanted. Steve was great. Young, cool guy who was not the least bit overbearing. Can't wait to see the pics!!

BURTONS - Florist. PERFECTION. In a word. The flowers were outrageous. Everything was exactly as I wanted it. From the bouquets, the centerpieces and my huppah were all great. Everthing was delivered on time and the delivery people were really nice and accomodating.

TRUE BLUE. Band. One of the Faze 4 bands and let me tell you, they were AMAZING. Everone thought they were playing tapes. They sounded so authentic it was amazing and they played all the right music, had everyone dancing all night. I highly recomend them. They are well worth the $$.

NYPD Pipe and Drum BAnd. My husband is NYPD and I surpirsed them with the pipers. They came during dinner and played for about 20 mins. Thehy pulled us up to dance a slow dance and an irish jig!! They blew everyone away!! It was maybe the most exiting part of the whole night mostly because it was a surpirse to most, including my husband. You can contact them on the NYPD web site!!

RK BRIDAL. BM dresses came on on time and were perfect. My girls did no frills so they had them altered themselves. My MOH who paid to have the alterations done there was told she had to go somewhere else because she was pregnant which made no sense. then, they tried to charge me more for alterations, meaning more $$ above the cap price because they said I lost too much weight which was BULL #$&%. I picked it up, and didn't pay the extra money because I think they forgot and I loved my dress (maggie Sotero) but it was too long!!! GIRLS, BIG ADVICE........ don't let you dress be too long!!! It was really annoying.

JACQUELINE NICOLE. Make-up. She was GREAT. Came to my salon with 2 assistants and made everyone look absolutely beautiful!! She is sweet and kind and most importantly, makes you look BEAUTIFUL on your wedding day!!

MATTHEW JAMES SALON. Hair. They are in Northport and I have been using Jen forever. I follow her to wahtever salon she goes to. But MAtthew James is great. All the girls do great hair and they let you bring your own make-up artist in which is a big PLUS!! Anyone in the Northport area should use them

INN at FOX HOLLOW. We stayed there for 3 nights and after a rough start (not such a warm welcome and a room that reeked like smoke and I am a smoker) everything was great. It is a beautiful place. They serve a huge breakfast every morning and cookie and snacks in the afternoon. It is expensive for LI but worth it in my opinion.

MAINE MAID INN - Rehersal dinner. The Inn is now owned by Lessings catering. It was really great. Nice atmosphere, good service and the food was better than I had anticipated. When I went with my MIL the week before, the chef even came out to speak to use which was a really nice touch.

RADISSON ARUBA - Honeymoon. We were there for 10 nights and had a wonderful time. The Radisson is beautiful. If you are going to Aruba, I recommend either the Radisson or the Hyatt. Theg roundws at both are great but I think the Hyatt was a little nicer. The rooms at the Rasisson however are bigger, as are the balconies. The best thing about Aruba by far though has to be the WEATHER!! It is always nice outside. And with the winds, you never feel hot. What is also nice about Aruba is that you really feel like you know the island by the time you leave!!

I think that's about it. For a bride that was VERY nervous and stressed out during the wedding planning process, I must say that I had a perfect day!!! I could not have asked for anything more!!

My only advice is try to take the time to enjoy it. I know everyone says it but it is so true. People are telling me things that I have absolutely no memory of at all and also, speak to the people that came to celebrate with you. Another thing I regret. I feel like I didn't speak to anyone and I feel really bad about it (shout out to you TANBRIDE AND LUNATREK!! :) Hope you had fun!!)

WELCOME BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's my GUEST review : with pictures

The Attire A++++++++++++++++++
1) The BRIDE: A VISION OF PURE BEAUTY, ELEGANCE, SHEER JOY - LOVED, LOVED, LOVED YOUR DRESS- a Maggie!!!!
2) The BMs: GORGEOUS in their blue strapless dresses - one more beautiful than the other - perfect for all their shapes/heights/sizes!
3) The GM: LOVED the tuxes, ties, vests, everything- very classy!

The Crescent Beach Club
1) Ceremony: NOT A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE- a perfect day -GO DH - made a speach that even some MEN where getting teary- amazing! What more can you ask for, the sun, the beach!
2) Flowers -Burton - bouquets, huppah (sp?) - high centerpieces with the spiral candels - Burtons did a GREAT job!!!!
3) Cocktail Hour - inside and outside - LOVED the frajitta station and the frozen drinks - YUMMY !
3) Ballroom - Flowers - LOVED the centerpieces, the shells on the table, the white sashes on the ceiling with the lights
4) Faze 4 : THE BEST BAND I HAVE EVER HEARD AT A WEDDING - I have not stopped raving about them since and told friens of mine they have to book them ASAP -even my FI who doesn't like bands, thought yours was 'AMAZING'
5) NYPD Bag Pipers- BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN - soo thoughtful and amazing- Rachel surprised her DH with them since he's a NYC cop!!!
6) Dinner - I had the Swordfish and FI had the Filet Mignon - hot and yummy!!

The Details
1) The Programs/Place Cards/Shells on the table - everything perfectly matched and just sooo Kate's Paperie - LOVED IT!
2) Favors - CHOCOLATES in blue organza bag with cards to the guest that a donation was made in our names to the NYPD Widows and Orphans Fund - I have my pin
3) Guest Book was a LI Lighthouse Book - what a great idea and a perfect way to tie in her beach themed wedding!!
4) Cake - had Seashells on it - so yummy!!

REALLY, a FANTASTIC wedding - could be I biased b/c I love the bride so much but really - here are some photos!! I have a HIGH standard to meet for my wedding in Sept! ENJOY!
