My MIL

I haven't posted much in the last few Weeks because as you my remember my MIL was sick (lung cancer) and we weren't sure if she would make it to the wedding. But she pulled through and hung on making our wedding day perfect by being there. It was tough and she went through 6 tanks of oxygen to do it but she looked beautiful and was so happy to be there.

Unfortunately, Last Thursday she lost her battle and passed very peacefully. We were all by her bed side and she was so beautiful.
I will never forget what she said the day before the wedding to me..' I will not call you my daughter in law, to me you are my daughter and I will always love you!!!!'

SHe was pretty much incoherent for the last week and a half but her last words to me were' I am sorry to put you through this ordeal a second time in your life ( my mom died 10 years ago from liver cancer) but I am ready to meet your mom now.'


I know there are a lot of brides out there that do not get a long with the MIL or FMILs but I would do anything to have mine back but I am very grateful I had her in my life as my MIL for the 6 Weeks that I did.

Awww...that was very touching and definitely brought a couple of tears to my eyes. She is in a better place now...may God bless you and your family

It sounds like she was such an amazing woman and loved you with all of her heart. I'm sure she and your Mom are getting along wonderfully watching over you and DH. Her words and yours made me cry.
