Maybe she thought there was some kind of cooking involved and that you put the strawberries in the oven?

There is your problem right there... it didn't involve runny mayo.

honestly, the first time I made them I looked it up on line. I was sort of thinking , 'it cant' be as simple as it looks, right?'Some 'recipes' actually call for adding shortening or butter to the chocolate, but I don't do that.

Actually, I told her she could add a teaspoon of cooking oil to the chocolate and it makes it set a little better and then they come out kind of shiny. And I told her exactly what kind of chocolate I used.

Plus, I had melted white chocolate and drizzled it across to dress them up a little bit...but, for the most part, they're a no brainer...
