My moh...

My moh...

She may be reading this, but maybe thats a good thing....

We used to be really close, but I really don't feel like that anymore. She doesn't return my phone calls, or e-mails.

She moved 2 mo ago and hasn't even invited me to her apt.

My other bm told me that she wrote her (and all my other bm's) a email as to 'what they wanted to do about giving me a shower' AND no one responded.

NOW, I understand THAT 1 bm is pregnant, I knew 1 was going to be a non-bm when I asked her, and my moh is getting married less then a mo after me (well, she's already married BUT she hasn't had her reception yet). And I know that this doesn't mean as much to them as it does to me, but I really feel like it doesn't mean anything to them.

I know in the grand scheme of life, this is really unimportant, BUT I feel like, no one really cares about my wedding.

I feel like since I started wedding planning, I just grow further and further apart from everyone.

OH. and when my MOH was drunk, she told me that she feels like she 'is better' then my FH and I (and some other pretty nasty things).

Now, we have talked about this, and I forgive her BUT KNOWING she feels like this.... well, then why did she aggree to be my MOH?

Re: My moh...

so sorry you feel that way...have you recently tried talking to her.

i have found it to be harder than i thought, learning to realize that what is the center of my world isnt the center of everyone elses. you seem to have a pretty good handle on that..and i hope your bp and those in your life in general can make a good effort to letting you feel as if for this planning and this one special day you can be the center of the world!!

talk to her, maybe it can all work out before destroying a friendship and ruining the wonderful planning of your wedding!

Sorry, but I would kick her out of the MOH spot. This might not be what you wanted to hear, but it is true. Make one of the BM the MOH, they seem to care more. Write her a letter or call her. Tell her your concerns. Tell her that you would still love her to be a BM.
It seems like she is to in to her own life and cannot be bothered with yours. Especially the fact she is getting married right before you. Maybe being MOH is to much for her right now, and it will be a relief to her.

I agree that she may not be the right person for the MOH, but there had to be a reason why you chose her to begin with. I would definately talk to her, tell her how you feel, and ASK if she would prefer to be a BM instead of the MOH. She may be relieved, and you can both enjoy your own and each other's planning process more!

I'm sorry this is taking place. People can be so insensitive sometimes. I hope she gets on board with helping for your wedding. But, if not, perhaps it's better to have a talk with her and ask her how she feels about being your MOH. Her answer will probably be telling in what you should do from here.

BOyyyyyyyyy do i feel you.
Atleast your MOH didn't drop out and tell you to find someone ur closer with...
I don't think no one TRULY understands how hard it is planning a wedding...until they are there. I didn't even think it was this much. I have no sisters or anything, so no one helping me, and it IS hard..harder than I thought.
i DO feel since i started planning, i grew away from my EX MOH....i dont want to say shes jealous, but she did say she wanted to throw up every time she heard about weddings, LOL.
Maybe taht was a sign....
i am sorry again

Re: My moh...

I'm going thru something similar but not with my MOH but one of my BM's. I am seriously thinking about telling her I don't want her in my BM anymore. She moved out of state about 2 months ago and I've talked to her once and it was me that called her! She didn't even know when my wedding date was! She got engaged about a month ago and sent out really tacky announcements that were actually invitations but she changed the wording. We had an argument over the summer because she didn't even call to acknowledge whether or not she was coming to my e-party! Can you believe that??? She's in my friggin BP and doesn't even call! Everyone said it was a jealousy thing b/c she wanted to get married too. Now she's engaged and I'm genuinely happy for her, but I don't think she even cares about being in my wedding anymore. Which is fine with me, b/c I don't think I want her there. She's the only 1 of my BM's that is not a family member so maybe I'll tell her that I just want it to be family.

So sorry you're going thru that. If it's any consolation, we all care about your wedding!!!
