She is moving next month so we wanted to pick something out before she goes so I can start to plan my other details. We found a gorgeous Bari Jay that floats like a dream on her!
We are getting it in black, and removing the flowers. In their place I want each girl to have a pretty sparkly brooch, each one unique to the girl's taste/personality. I loooove iittttttt.
So, my question is... initially, I had intended on letting each girl pick her own dress in whatever fabric I chose. But, I really like this one the best! It just flows so much nicer than the rest we saw and fits my vision of how I want my girls to look better than the others. If you were a BM, would you be upset about not getting a say (especially if you thought you would)????? What should I do???

It was beautiful, everyone was so comfortable and the dress was very flattering!!! LOVED it!!!!!! And I love your idea about the brooch, I think it will look stunning!

OMG you girls all look amazing in it!! I am so glad you sent me this, I want to show my girls what 'real girls' look like in it (although you're all so slim that it may not convince anyone heavier lol) and hopefully sway them in my favor! I am also really happy you mentioned it's comfortable!!! That's soooo important IMHO. Thank you thank you!

And yes I was SO comfortable the entire night, I really loved this dress! I think all the girls were happy with it! The shoes were another story though....hahaha!

The dress is really pretty. I didn't give all my girls a say for the dress. I just showed them a picture and they loved it.

So pretty! It is such a wonderful dress for your MOH. I am planning to pick the color and length of the dress and then let my girls pick the style of dress. All of my girls are different body types.

that dress is great! and i love that its floor length. i was planning on picking out a few dresses on my own and letting the girls pick which one they liked. I think everyone should be happy with the one you picked though, its beautiful!

Gorgeous dress! I really like the flower detail but the broach idea is really nice also. If u think the dress will fit nice on all your girls I sayy go with it.

Thanks girls! I have 2/4 of my girls on board so far with it! I love that coral color too actually but I am going with black. My wedding is at night in the fall so I wouldn't want a bright color... and I love how it looks to have everyone in black and then the bride standing out hehe. I was originally going to go with a dusty lilac color, but I realized it wouldn't flatter everyone's skin tones. I think even though black gets a bad reputation sometimes as a bridesmaid dress color, that it will be very pretty and elegant and everyone will be happy! I just really want everyone to be happy. I really don't want cranky bridesmaids lol.
One of my girls is fuller-figured so I am more worried about her agreeing to it. If you were (or are?) a buxom full-figured girl would you like this gown???

Honestly, it's YOUR day and your BM's should understand that. I'd just talk to everyone and tell them that you found something you love and that you decided that you wanted them all to wear the same dress.

Love this dress!!! It's beautiful and adding a brooch is an amazing idea.
Honestly I think this style of dress would look amazing on everyone and I don't think you're hurting anyone's feelings by not letting them pick out their dress. I've heard that can turn into a larger hassle and BMs would prefer to have their dress picked. I'd talk to them all and let them know what you're thinking and see how they feel. I really think they'll be fine with going with this dress instead of choosing their own, it's beautiful!

The best news is I just found out Wedding Center in Commack will be able to get them for $150!!!!
