overweight...

What stores offer elegant but not matronly MOB dresses?

Id go to Nassau and Suffolk (last resort would be the city).

Thanks

definitely go check out Queen of Hearts! I think they are actually a LIW vendor as a matter of fact. They're in Merrick right off Sunrise Hwy

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa has a great selection

my mom couldnt really fit into the samples - but the woman who works there is SO NICE, she made my mom feel as beautiful as the itty bitty moms coming in there

i actually plan on writing her a letter after the dress comes in to tell her how much we appreciated it after all the other shops made my mom feel terrible!

Sugarplum in lynbrook is fantastic. That is where my mom got her dress and she looked amazing.

I had the same situation with my mom. We got her dress at the same place where I got my gown which is Bridal World in Baldwin. Ronnie is an absolute doll!! She knew my mom was very unhappy with her weight and when Ronnie was trying to help her she kept picking out gowns that would camoflauge her larger areas. Everytime my mom grabbed something that wouldn't flatter her Ronnie showed her something even better that would look nice on her. It definitely helped my mom feel better about the whole dress buying situation.
