She basically told me that my MOH isn't doing ANYTHING to help... called her useless. My poor FH is doing all the work from what I can see since Mom lives in Fla so I hear about it all.... today she sent me an email asking me to help her pick out invitations! I don't want to do that!!! Obviously, it's not going to be a surprise that I am getting it (anymore!) but at least let everything else be a surprise!
Nothing I can do, I know... just looking to vent...I guess... sigh....

Im at a loss for words. No, actually Im not. Tell your mom you'd like to be surprised, since you know everything else. Tell her your stressed enough planning the wedding and to take care of plans for the shower. If not, give me her number and I'll call her and tell her!!!

I am soo sorry you are having 'MOM' problems again!! Why can't anyone (esp. you Mom) just do something for YOU and not bother you with these details, of your SHOWER no less?

Like Diva said, feel free to give me Mom's number. I'll have no qualms telling her to STOP BUGGING you with the things she should be HAPPILY handling for her daughter's wedding!

Isn't it your mom who had the wedding dress on order also?? God bless you!!!! She sounds like a real piece of work...I 've got one just like that too. Ignore her and be thankful she lives out of state!!! Mine lives nearby- I wish she'd move!!!!

I remember your last post about your mom ordering a brides gown to wear to your wedding and now this. My God. I would be more then a little upset. Not to sound rude but is she against you getting married????? If not ask her to stop making your life and wedding planning such a pain in the a**. She is really being rude, thoughtless and childish. If my mom did that i would have had a few words for her before with the whole dress thing, now the shower i would have flipped. Find a friend to plan your shower. Any true friend would do it with honor. Good luck. I don't know you but i would throw you a shower so you wouldn't have to put up with this any more. Good Luck..

i agree tel your mom how you feel and if she soesnt accept it find a friend who will do it for you as a complete surprise. i know its sometimes hard to tell your parents how you feel but its not fair to let her bring you down. good luck
