Not sure if anyone is familiar with my situation, but FIL'S and I don't get along at all!
My FMIL and her husband (not FH father) chose not to help with our engagement party,, then told us they were coming to the party my parents gave us and then they pulled a no show! well anyways, my mom and sister(MOH) are a little upset with FMIL for not helping or offering to help with anything wedding related... my mom called FMIL and left 3 messages for her to call back bc my mom wants to know if FMIL is going to be involved with my Bridal shower(when the wedding gets closer) My mom doesnt know what to do about it: does she send her an e-mail, a note in the mail or what??? She had FH ask his mom and she refused to discuss it with him, but my mom and MOH want to know what she's going to do, if anything at all...
any feedback ladies?
Jess
ETS: FMIL planned and threw his 2 older brothers wives (her 2 other daughter-in-laws) their BRIDAL and BABY showers.....

Re: my mom & my FMIL
If your mom & MOH are getting no responses from her & neither is FH then they should go with the (I hate this word) assumption that she is doing NOTHING & plan accordingly. If at a later date she offers then if there is still something to do then she can be given that task or if she complains then she can be reminded how your mother tried to talk to her & she DID NOT respond!
ETA: Did your FSIL's have anyone else throwing showers for them or just FMIL? Why would she be so will then & not now? Sorry but I am not aware of your situation.

I totally agree. Don't have your mom and MOH keep trying to contact her. She knows that your mom has been trying to get in touch with her and she has chosen, thus far, not to return her calls. They should assume she's not planning on being involved and move forward.
