...and bought a dress yesterday. I was really looking forward to dress shopping with her, and she went and did it without me. I've been on her for months, saying she was cutting it close for a wedding in October, and she kept on blowing me off. So she 'stops in just to look' yesterday, and asks the woman when she needs to order.
'You're cutting it close.' the woman says. So she goes ahead and picks something. I ask why she didn't want to go when I said the same thing. 'I didn't think you knew what you were talking about.'
The next time I hear one more 'thought' about my choice of CP, veil, or jewelry, I'm just going to tell her I know what I'm talking about, no help needed, thanks.

Aww... so sorry Mich! Don't feel bad - my mom still doesn't have a dress for my wedding... which is 15 DAYS AWAY!!!!!!!!

Aw, don't feel too bad about. I went with my mom once or twice... but she went about 300 times. I can't get that much time off work!
She bought about 15 different dresses before FINALLY picking the one. I couldn't keep up.
I'm sure she'll be beautiful - and it's just now one less thing to worry about. Don't waste any time being upset. At least she got a dress, so you don't have to worry about her being too late!

My mother bought a dress off the rack that she has to lose weight to fit into. I told her when she was buying it - mom, you would never let me do this and she's like - I can do it. We'll see!

sounds like my mom, she probably hasn't even thought about buying a dress yet and I won't be surprised if she waits until 15 days before!

My mom bought her dress without me too. She saw it at Loehmanns on a day shopping (she is retired), and just couldn't pass up the bargain.... I was a little bit disappointed....
However, she is happy, and she will feel beautiful that day in her dress. Just keep that in mind. I am sure your mom didn't go without you on purpose.... she was probably just worried about what she would wear. My mom is very impatient.
