My Mother

My Mother

Keeps telling me who 'I should' invite. She is sooooooo on my last nerve with this.

She's making me invite her cousins whom i've met maybe twice in my 30 years of life and now yesterday she tells me I really should invite my brothers in-laws. WHAT!!!! I've only met them a few times. yes i'm friendly with them when I do see them, but good lord. I snapped and told her i'm not a millionaire.

My FI and I are paying for the whole wedding. so our invite list is very limited. But she refuses to understand that and expects me to invite every single person she's friendly with. It's bad enough that we have friends that we can't invite cause we're already over the limit.

sorry, just had to vent

thanx ladies

Sounds like she's getting under your skin. Don't let her. She can suggest who you should invite, but she can't tell you who to invite, you guys are paying.

Do an A, B and C list. Ask her who of the relatives she feels must be invited first. You're having a limited guest list and that's that. Don't let her push you around.

Exactly... Remember it's your day and it's all about the couples happiness. Expecially since you guys are working so hard to pay for it!!

Re: My Mother

I feel your pain. My mother keeps doing the same thing. Last night she mentioned some friend of hers from France. She claims she told be said friend wanted to come to my wedding. HUH?!?!?!!? I told my mother, first she never mentioned it, and second, there's no room on the guest list for some random person I met twice that I haven't seen in more than 5 years.
