my mother and father grrrr

i dont know what to do. i didnt register for anything yet and i didnt pick out china or anything that i like. meanwhile i come home today and theres pots, china, other everyday setting of plates all for 12 people and flatware. oh and a bedspread and sheets. so everything is nice, my mother and father suprised me with everything and im greatful and all, but HELLO i would like to pick my china, flatware, and pots you know? i dont know what to do they will think im ungreatful i know it and that im being a ***** and i know they mean well really but i dont know what do you think guys. oh ps my mother didnt even know what a registry is and my father thinks its tacky to ask ppl for gifts and tell them what i want. Did you ever in your life? i cant deal with this they just don't get it and i dont want to fight. all inall its sweet they want to get me things but idont have a say which theyare just not understanding.

awww..that is really sweet but i totally inderstand your point. is there anyway you can tell them nicely that you wanted to pick them out? do you think they would be offended? hmmmm...that is a tough call but i would just tell them nicely.

thats really nice :) i know be greatful does not mean you have to keep every thing its just a starter swtie no fret! I have everything too from friends n stuff i have not registered i just figured it was starter stuff
