My mother doesn't know how to spell my FHs name!!!!!

she spelled it Al-PH-onse. It's Al-F-onse.

I was like - 'Woman!!!! He's going to be your son-in-law!!!'

I'll chalk it up to senility.

If it helps at all - my MOH still thinks his last name is Harrington, not Harrigan...we've been together 5 years now girl - COME ON!!!!!

i have been with FH for almost ten years and his family STILL spells my name Matilda instead of Matilde

I have a stocking, an ornament, a jewelry box etc. all with the wrong name !

FH's parents are Romanian and they speak english very well...

but FFIL says my name like CAT--E. haha Instead of Catie and his grandma cant really say my name as well so she just calls me 'her girl' haha

but FMIL always corrects FFIL its funny

My dad still calls my fiance Craig Dugan (do-gan) when its Duggan (doug-an) and we've been together almost 9 years!!! Ugh they never learn

I was going to post something like this. I still find myself to the date addressing things for her so I wouldn't be upset if she cant write his name. Why would she need to? And If she did I know ill end up double checking it im her secretary

my mom called my FH by my ex's name once. it was an honest mistake, but so embarrassing. let's hope that doesn't happen again.

My FH's family ALWAYS spells my name Elizabeth but it's actually Elisabeth....

LOL... My best friend (who I'm her MOH in Nov) spelled my FH's last name wrong... Just had to correct it and laugh since everyone spells it wrong...

My mom still calls FH 'Denny'. Sometimes she'll fumble around and go, uh.....uh.....Denny? 6 years and still Denny. I think FH has a non-typical name (especially for an asian), so it's hard for her to remember it!

I can't tell you how many times different family members have called my FH my ex's name. Just hope they don't do it at the wedding!
