I had to get my parents' birthdates for the form to apply for a passport. Of course I know the day and month, but I just called now to double check the year...mainly because it's an official document and you are not supposed to lie or be wrong about the info you fill in. Well, she just talked to me like I was retarded and asked, well, can't you figure it out from my age. It's 2005, and I'm ____ years old...ARGGGHH! F**K you, mom! It's an offical form that needs to be correct! Excuse me for trying to double check! She made me feel do damn dumb because I didn't remember how old she is. FH called his mom for the info, and I'm sure she was super nice about it. My mom is just so damn mean sometimes.

It probably happens to most of us. I have learned to laugh it off. You have a long life ahead of you.

She's always been like this. Very condescending and hurtful. My mother really never has anything nice to say. I am just so glad I don't live in the same state as her anymore. She's an 8 hr drive away, so I don't see her much.

I know how you feel. A few weeks ago i sent a picture of my wedding dress to my mom and her reply was 'you'll need to go to the gym to look good in that' (she live in Florida, which is why i sent the pic). Not to mention, i'm a size 8ish....i don't really need to loose weight anyway.
