my mother... uggghh..

ok need to vent...

i call her from FI house saying ill be home later(otherwise she worries)... and I say I have a blockbuster movie to watch.. so she gets off the phone with me.. calls back 5 minutes later yelling at me.. upset that i took the blockbuster coupon, she's yelling over $3.60 that the coupons would have saved.... she was yelling so loud my FI could hear 5 feet away.. she always gets like this then the next day its like nothing happened.. then 2 weeks later it starts again...

why is she like that? I wouldn't even yell back.....I'd just let her vent LOL

maybe she's a little resentful/hurt/sad that her little girl is leaving the nest ? That's how I would see it. Its not over the coupon...

I saw it that way with my mom. Although we dont live too far, my sister and I grew up always going shopping with her, spending saturdays especially with her all day, and when we were in relationships, I noticed she would get a little snippy for no reason at times.. so my sister and I would schedule 'mommy and me time' at least once a month. she needs that and so do we
now with birthdays and holidays, we all see eachother plenty !

Is she going through menopause? My mom was the same way a year ago. She was such a BEATCH!! Me, my sister and my dad would avoid her. Thank goodness its over.
