My old record collection

My old record collection

From ages 8-10, I bought vinyl and my younger brother, with his new little turntable, ransacked the attic and took all of the records that my parents and I had stored.

And my parents and I had quality stuff - the Who, John Travolta (in his tight white pants wearing glory - this double album cover is totally, um, hot. And by hot I mean scary), Guns-n-Roses, tons of Italian 45s, Bon Jovi, Tiffany, Michael Jackson, Def Leppard. See - quality. My brother totally doesn't appreciate it.

During a visit to my parents house this weekend, I was lured to the second floor when I heard loud music coming from my brothers room. He was playing 'Only in My Dreams' by Debbie Gibson. I stood in the doorway , waiting for him to do something (because my brother's pretty twisted)and when he spotted me, he did some major 80s dance moves and then made fun of me for the next hour.

So he can make fun of me for owning the record at 8 years old, but when he can SING ALONG TO IT - it's totally not a big deal.

Omg, that's classic!!!!!!

I was thinking, 'what right does he have to make fun of you when he's the one singing and dancing to it all these years later???'!!!!!!

Exactly what Cindy said! I remember playing that album on tape in my walkman!
