My other post made me think of something....

Being I have the upper room at CLM.. there is no elevator. Is there a way to let guests now on invitiation or is it best to let them know by calling them?

I'm just afraid some people may get to the hall only to realize they have to go up the stairs to get to my room. No one I know of execpt one person might have this difficulty, but there are people my parents & FH's parent's are inviting that I don't know. Maybe I should tell them to mention it?

on an invitation you just see the info you need. As far as other things that a person has to do inside such as walking up stairs you really do not have to put. Ive been to weddings where we've had to go upstairs and its fine. They will be told inside which room its in so they'll know where to go. I never was told ahead of time if i had to walk up the stairs. I even went to a wedding this past weekend in the city at tribeca rooftop, it was on the 12th floor, we didnt know that until we got there. THere was a guy at the door who told us as soon as we walked in. These are details they'll see when they get there, dont stress yourself out about this it will be fine.

I would have your parents mention something. Seeing as how that is the ONLY person you see that may have a problem, I think it's fine just to mention something to them.

So does this mean that they have a kitchen upstairs???
Otherwise how do they get the food up?

I think you will be fine if someone just passes it along to them. Are they in a wheelchair? Or can someone help them up the stairs?

We had the upstairs room until changed a month before the wedding to downstairs due to a event being canceled. I would only inform the people who would have a problem walking up stairs of the issue. I go to MANY events that are upstairs with no elevator and no one ever says anything.

My grandmother would of been the only person with the problem getting up there so they would of lifted her up, just like they did for my ceremony in a chair.

No the kitchen is (edit) on the main floor - they go up the stairs to deliver the food.
