Are you getting them in your home state and bringing them to NY? MY FH is not flying in until 2 days before the wedding. I don't think we will have time to do the tuxes by then. Do we get them in CA and bring them? What if something goes wrong???

hmm, maybe you can go to a chain? have fittings and stuff at the one in cali, and then have it sent over to the one in NY?

We're using AfterHours for that very reason. FI can pick everything and order from DC and his groomsmen can send in their measurements from their closest location (their spread out too). Then just pick up the tuxes the Friday before on LI.
Sidenote on tuxes: To be honest, I'm already expecting the worse -- I don't think I've been to or in a wedding where the tuxes were not messed up anyways on sizes or something. However, they always can fix it on the spot or get it fixed by the next morning. That's the best I can hope for -- quick resolution :-\

How funny, I was going to say the same exact thing. I think fh is going to do after hours or mens warehouse since its nation-wide. But its true, I have yet to actually read a positive review about a tuxedo place. How sad is that?

My brother recently went to a wedding in Canada and he rented the tux before hand. They gave him the one week package they use for folks renting for a cruise or vacation and this way he had when he knew it fit right before he left.

We used Men's wearhouse. They are all over. You go there pick out the tux and the color's u want it to be they put everyones name in the computer and then the guys just goto a mens wearhouse close to them and get measured. It was really easy.

We just looked at tuxes last week, they have cards for the bridal party to fill out with their measurements. They can go to any talyor or tux shop and get it filled out. Then we just send it back to them. This way they have you measurement. The place was very nice and we have used them before

We are in DC (as well as the GM)...we are going to get them at Men's Wearhouse (ha, it was also b/t them and After hours but got a few recent raves about MH)....you can do any local place and have the measurements sent but that makes me nervous so we'll stick with them getting measured here and picking up the tuxes there.

we went to After Hours for tuxes. My FH got fitted here in NC, we picked out the groomsmen tuxes and then they fowarded all the info to the store in Garden City. You pick up the tuxes two days before the wedding and return them to the same store the next day. Any out of town groomsmen can also get fitted at any store and have their measurments faxed to your store.
