My Own makeup - Comments & suggestions -pics

Since you have all been very helpful through this stressful time of helping me with my makeup I was hoping for some more imput....I do not normally wear makup this heavy but what do you think. (My face is a little more red then usual...i went tanning this morning). PLease be honest girls. FH hates it. Thanks

I like it. The eyes looks great--especially your lashes...

Maybe a heavier foundation? I only say this for picture purposes...

I love your lashes. Maybe less of a reddish shade on the eyes (I cant tell exactly what color it is) and more of a bronzy/brownish shade? Also, maybe some liner on your eyes, to make them pop a little more? I dont think this is 'heavy' looking at all. Its very natural looking! Very pretty.

I agree with Jess - maybe a bit more bronze-ish colors, less mauve-ish. I think the lip color in your first trial was perfect (like a peachy pink with gloss). Same for the eyes. I would also add more liner to make your eyes pop more. The application is good, it's just the colors that I think can be a bit more flattering.

Thank you....no, I really wasnt crazy about the false lashes the green eye shadow or the amount of powder on my face. TY so much though

I actually really like your own makeup!! I think you did a great job!! Looks more natural than your trials!

But if FH doesn't like it, I'd try something else. My nightmare would be if FH didn't like the way my face looked on our big day!!

Not to be harsh...but I would find someone who can do your makeup for you a bit naturally if that is what you are looking for. The first pic-one you took after you did your own... not loving it and I think in professional photos it might look even more off. there is too much ruddiness everywhere-needs to be toned down. I personally like your makeup trial pics but if you're not comfortable with the finish, try a sheerer foundation. DIOR, and CLASSIFIED COSMETICS make amazing airbrush ones and Smashbox has the best sheer liquid foundations that give you evenness without the opaque look.

I know you may think it is a lot of makeup, but honestly, in the pics it doesn't look that way at all> when i had my makeup done for a photoshoot way back when, I was appalled at how much makeup they applied-I looked like a drag queen in the mirror. But on printed film, it looked amazing. You have to go much heavier than you normally do when you are doing professional photos or you get washed out. Thats what happened to me in my pics when I did my own makeup to test it out. I had sooo much more on than I normally wear and it STILL photographed natural, almost non-existent.

The most important thing is for you to be comfortable, but if you want to do your own makeup, try experimenting with a few more looks. A great thing to do (what I did) is to go to Sephora and have them do your whole face. Write down what they used if you like it and how they did it (they have face charts and do step by steps) and then you can duplicate it for your big day.

Ultimately, YOU really need to be comfortable with your makeup and how you look overall on your wedding day. My personal opinion is that I think professional makeup is the best option for a wedding, but thats me! Im not you and I also typically wear alot of makeup But it doesnt sound like you feel comfortable with that (and you def dont need it! i do...i have troublesome skin). Looking at your pictures again, I really do like the look of your freckles showing (when you do your own) and not a thick foundation on you, BUT i do think you need a more intense eye and lip to really pop. I also couldnt tell that was green in the trial you showed, I could just tell it was a nice darker shade that made your eyes pop. love the eyeslashes tho, but im a fan of fakeys for special occasions. to be honest, regarding fh, i would go with how i feel on my wedding day! haha I know fh will love whatever i end up doing, come on..hes gonna be nothing but blown away when he sees you regardless of what shades you choose/your hair, etc. What do guys know about makeup anyways? Good luck finding the look that makes you feel fabulous!

Well first of all, you are a beautiful girl -- so naturally pretty. As far as the makeup, personally, I really like the way it came out in your trials. I do like the way you did it too, but I think your skin looks more flawless in the trials. Also, if FH doesnt like it, you're going to be self conscious about that on the big day. I had a hair trial and showed FH and he HATED it. I couldnt believe it! But, I really didnt want him thinking that he didnt like my hair the whole wedding day, or looking back at pics and thinking I couldve looked better....so I changed my hair-do.
