lol I wouldn't allow any of that at my engagement party either... however people love that stuff so my fh aunt asked the dj to play it, he followed my directions and said he couldn't w out my permission and she asked me!!!! what could I have said... I hate the big butt song so I refuse for that one too. the lame dance songs are fun for everyone else, so maybe reconsider them. Maybe not electric slide

that is not being bridezilla...just tell them, they'll know when you're bridezilla...lol...
making sure a song is not played is not being bridezilla..tell them they are using the word incorrectly...and if they keep doing it, you're gonna call them momzilla and dadzilla for picking on you constantly about it.

I'm being very compromising....I'm allowing the Dollar Wine song....italian dances....etc.
But under no circumstances will I allow 1- the electric slide 2- BIG BUTTS 3- the chicken dance 4- the cha cha slide 5- cotton eyed joe
I hate them, and any wedding I've ever been to, they clear the dance floor.

We aren't having any participation dances played at our wedding either. However, I know the DJ's we are using very well and I trust their judgement. If they feel that playing those types of songs will get the crowd on the dance floor, then we will play them.

I so hear you on this. I would never want I like big butts played at my wedding. Out of that list the only one I'd even consider is the electric slide, but that was not a definite yet.
