My Partial DIY Invitation Sample
So, I know it's SUPER early, but I needed a crafty project to make me feel better after a week at work where I felt like I hardly got anything done and Wedding DIY stuff gives me a sense of accomplishment!!
I got my invitations from annsbridalbargains.com and although they were exactly what I ordered, they were a little unimpressive in person. But I knew that since they were practically a blank slate, I could do something nice with them on the cheap.
For a total of 37 cents extra per invitation, I was able to add a few nice embellishments that are personal, go with my theme and that I can be proud of :).
Here's what I came up with (the lighting is AWFUL in my dining room and my phone camera is not that great, so the shades are off in the pictures):
Here, I used green Raffia Ribbon to tie around the inner envelope. I also bought a Martha Stewart tag shaped hole punch that I think I'll get a lot of use of, and I punched the back of the monogram out of dark green card stock (59 cents). Then, I bought these Monogram stickers that I stuck to them.

I used white transparent ribbon as the top border, and a bird-shaped hole punch to put a dark green bird in the upper left hand corner. It matched the print much better than it seems in this picture.

Here's a close-up. I also added a single rhinestone in the center of the ribbon above the bird in the middle, but don't have a picture of that yet.

What do you girls think??
