my pet peeve

why o why...in movies and commercials do they always hafta portray spanish people as people with really thick accents or people who say 'mami' or 'papi'. It really makes me INSANE!!!
I don't speak like that, neither does a large amt of the hispanic population. I hated watching prison break for that reason...and theres this itt tech commercial i just saw and it just irritated me. they aactually ask hispanic actors to speak with more of an accent and speak that way and it just shows the amt of ignorance out there.
