My photographer, VENDOR RAVE! sorry, long
Well, my digital pics went up about 2 weeks ago (turns out the error with the website was the hosting company, not the photographer, and they worked really hard to fix it once they figured out the problem) and yesterday we picked up the hard copy proofs and our video -- it is all just fantastic! We used J o V o n Photography and I didn't want to give a vendor rave until I picked up all of the proofs and the video raw footage.
But we got so many pics, way over a thousand (perhaps even closer to two thousand) for our wedding of 66 people. All there are so many great pics in there! Putting together our album will be so tough. They sent not 2 (as in our contact) but THREE photographers the day of, plus a lighting assistant. J o V o n stayed thru CH and then left his 2 other photographers to cover the reception. I knew I saw them taking photos the whole time and I was right! They got ALL of the family and friends portraits, every single combo possible, got tons of creative shots, detail shots of EVERYTHING, shots of every aspect of every part of the day and took every single photo on my must take list! They didn't want to miss any must-takes so while I was headed to the bridal suite during the reception to drop off cards, they stopped me with the list and we spent 30 seconds making sure nothing had been missed.
Our raw footage was also great -- several hours worth, everything important was caught by the videographer. It was so great seeing the ceremony and reception from a different perspective. We also caught our family and friends doing the funniest stuff, things we would have never seen without the video! (oh, and we also know that one of my friends was always on his blackberry when he was even in the room. people don't realize we are going to see this stuff afterwards and it is so much fun getting to see this 'other' side of the day!)
