So today I went to my third apt, Something In Blue THere work is very very good. THey do not have any packages, nor did they even have a price sheet for me to take home. They didnt offer any thank you cards, and seemed like they acted like they were doing me a favor.
So far we love Imagine Studios, very sweet and willing to work with us.
I have one more tommorrow, Martin Willard. I will let u know how it goes

Some vendors are like that: 'our work speaks for itself.'
Bummer.
I hope it goes well with Martin Willard. Don't forget to do BBB searches on your vendors! Good luck!!!

Re: My Photography Appointments (Recap)
Sorry to hear that about something in blue...So wait would they expect you to hire them and sign a contract without any prices? or do they actually tell you prices if you plan on booking them? I never heard of such a thing, i understand when vendors say our prices vary depending on what you want, but there are many packages and prices to go with it.

Re: My Photography Appointments (Recap)
Yea, they could not give me any prices for albums, since all they could say is so much will change in 2008. LIke it was soo far away.
The only packages they offer are SHooting packages like 7 hours or 9 hours. plus the proofs. that was about 5500 for the 9 hour package
They told me a digital album will run about 2000 but this could change. And that they really dont do parent albums, and this is more of an American Thing to do. (they are not american)
I asked then if i could have a printed price list, and they told me they didnt have one, and that i could email him to remind him to send it to me since they get sooooo many emails and cant keep track of everyone. (real nice)

I like their work alot but ugh i would hate if they said those things to me. Its good to have a good relationship with your vendors and to get treated a certain way. Yeah the albums sound about right and about how much they cost, theres also some there are in the 1000's.

Re: My Photography Appointments (Recap)
Yes i saw their pricing sheet for 2008, but they did not offer me a hard copy, to take home like every other photographer.
THey had no prices for albums on their sheet, and no prices for enlargements, or thank you cards.
The only sheet they had was the one that they keep. EVERY other place at least gave me a formal brochure or paper packet of what they offer.
I walked away empty handed

That is not right...they need to show prices for enlargements and albums...There are people who know the price range of albums but theres MANY people who have no clue and would be so surprised to find out later...I know when i told people the cost of albums they were shocked.

Yea FH was really not interested in them one bit. FH is a business man, and would never treat his clients that way. He always has pricing sheets and gives them formal proposals of each estimate he gives them.
