I was supposed to go to the DMV and SS to officially change my name today... but im so pissed off at him that I refuse to do it right now!! I

I wish I could cancel today's plans of working!!
I went to the SS office but was told I have to wait for my new card to come in the mail before I go to the DMV, so you can't do both in one day as I thought. That's what the lady at the Patchogue office told me anyway...

Now that school is out I am jumping into all my DIY projects that I didn't have time for during the school year. Yesterday I went to Michael's and got all my materials, and then put ribbon on all my church bubbles. Today I am going to FAntasy Land to look for a unity candle and cake serving set......I am loving summer vacation so far!

Really? I did both on the same day. All they required at DMV was my marriage certificate. But I did mine in the Bronx, maybe it's different in LI.

hmm... i didnt think you needed your SS card to change your name at the DMV... but you probably need your licesnce at the SS office... so that should probably be the first stop...

Yea, I think the lady at SS lied to me. I just checked the DMV website and they said I could just bring my license and marriage certificate, nothing about waiting for a new card. D'oh!!!!
Oh well, I'm going to try to go on Monday since I have off. Does anyone know if they're going to be closed or something for the holiday?

I started packing some of the esstentials we picked up for the HM like shampoo, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, advil etc. and made a list
Im also decorating the birdcage that FSIL lent us and when FH gets home we will be doing the place cards and packing up stuff to bring to the reception hall and church
