Re: My poor Bailey dog...
UGH! Took my Max to the vet last week because he has bad ears and was shaking his head like a nutjob.
So I've been cleaning, giving him pills & putting RX goop in the ear and I'm doing it this morning and get a hold of his other ear and it's TOTALLY messed up!!! Just don't get it!! (I've been trying to figure out why his original bad ear looked like it was healing nice but he was still shaking his head so much he was giving ME a headache!!)
Hugs to Bailey!

It could be both...it depends on how quickly you catch it.

Re: My poor Bailey dog...
Max's is an infection and he is prone to them. I guess it really depends on the 'gook'.
My Bailey gets dark gook but it's usually just that his ears are dirty and needs them cleaned but there usually isn't so much of the shaking as with Max's infections (totally different gook - smelly, gets crusty ... should I go on? )

Re: My poor Bailey dog...
My bichon frise used to get this too. They just gave me some Oto-cleaner or something that helps loosen the brown stuff up. Stinky as hell too. That's why Bailey wants to lick your fingers, lol! AAw, hugs to Bailey. I hope it's nothing serious.
