My poor FIL

I should be very excited being my DH and I are going to visit our lawyer tonight to sign the contract for our new home but last night we received a phone call from his parents. His dad has an anurism in his brain which we knew about for the past week or so but the doctor ran some tests and saw that it is huge. The doctor said he is surprised my FIL is still alive being it hasn't burst (thank God for that!). Now, they are saying he has to get some tests done and there is a test that he HAS to get and he may or may not wake up from it...it's a chance he has to take. Basically he is putting his life on the line for this test. I am SO nervous, I haven't been able to concentrate all day. I am sitting here reading posts and responding just trying to get my mind off of it and I can't.

I'm not even excited about going into contract tonight

Please say a prayer for him, I don't know what else to do...my DH is a mess and I'm no better I don't take bad news very well

Wow - that's serious stuff! I can't imagine being told that I have to have a test run, but I may not wake up again!

I am sure that he will be fine my aunt had a stroke over the summer and because of the testing they did on her from the stroke they found that she had a aneurysm in her brain, not related to the stroke and they said she could die from it and they need to do a test also and that it was risky and she came through it fine and she had surgery to have it removed and that went well also so I hope your family has the same good luck we had

Be very very grateful that they found it and there is treatment available. Keep positive for your FIL and it will all work out. There is a brain anuerysm foundation in Boston (you can google it) to get more info about them.
