I got a phone call today from the Deacon at my church telling me my priest WON'T be doing my ceremony, he will. I like this guy but I really wanted my priest...Thank God he is gonna be ok but UGH...15 days before the wedding!! Good thing I didn't print the programs yet!!! UGH UGH STRESS!!! Ok, crazed vent over...moving on...

sorry to hear that....remember it can always be worse....my priest died of Pancreatic Cancer on 10/16/07.

We are only having a ceremony luckily so we don't have to have a priest. We are going to use Deacon Bob. He is great and was SOOO sweet on the phone. I loved Father Midura but he can be a little, um, shall we say, 'rough around the edges'. Deacon Bob is SUCH a teddy bear. When he called last night he was funny and nice. I am ok with him doing the ceremony...I just got a GIANT lump in my stomach...MY PRIEST HAD TO HAVE DOUBLE BYPASS!!! UGH! What next?!

I spoke to the church today...Father Midura WILL be fine, he just needs to take it easy for a few weeks. I have heard WONDERFUL things about Deacon Bob. I am VERY happy to be having him do my wedding and even more happy that my priest will be ok

Deacon Bob is marrying me as well in my church in Nassau County. He is a long time friend of the family. He married my sister and brother in law as well
