Well I use to work at a Vets office and I also had my two male doggies neutered too. They dont neccessarily send them home with pain meds..cuz they usually dont need them. However, ur doggie shouldnt be moaning...you should def. call up the office and let them know...

REALLY? Hmmmmmm, maybe we will phone them........he doesn't moan all the time....just when he moves. But you don't think he should be moaning at all??? He's really blah right now which I'm assuming is normal??

Nope. He shouldnt be 'blah' he should be acting like nothing happened..did he stay over night? or did he go home the same day? Is he still eating, drinking?

He went in this morning and his surgery was at 9am. I picked him up at 6pm. He seemed like he was OK when he saw me, but as soon as he came home, that's when he started to act blah and start his moaning.........definitely not active like he normally is. He eats a little bit and he is drinking water..........

Ok..thers the reason. Where I work(or use to work)..they keep them over night..for that exact reason. The Dr. doesnt want them to go home all woozie and get over excitied in the state that they are in. I guess its normal then...sorry to have worred you

My cousin is a vet and told me that b/c you've removed their testosterone, they're going to be more lethargic in general. His moaning today is probably just his body adjusting to the surgery. Don't worry babes. Here are some hugs and kisses for him

When my pup was neutered, we took him home the same day.

MALE are more dramatic than females They will moan and whimper.

Since this thread was from yesterday, he should be himself again today But try not to let him jump for 2 days!!!
