My Real Good Bye
Hello brides!
I just wanted to bid my farewell to you, as I will no longer be posting on these boards. As many of you have seen, my comments really seem to irk some of the LIW members, and to be honest, it just really isn’t fun to be on here anymore. I’m sure you have seen the drama on the BHB boards regarding the question “How much was your RH pp?” and apparently, answering the question was something I in particular was not supposed to do. I want to say thank you to those ladies who posted in my defense, and also to those who sent me private FMs telling me to ignore the drama starters and those who they felt were just acting out of jealousy. I particularly loved the FM from one girl (you know who you are) who added “…and you know what?? I LOVE Vera Wang and I LOVE Christian Louboutin… SO WHAT?!?” You go, girl! And another girl who said she’d be buying a pair of CLs with some of the wedding money – I love it!! Anyway, for those who care, I posted my last comment on that thread early this morning and while I received notifications that there were more responses, I will not be checking them. So if it was someone who spoke out in my defense again – thank you!! If not, then I’m very happy for you that you got to have the “last word.”
I enjoyed being a member of LIW, as this is where I saw reviews for all of my vendors, and thus this site helped me plan my wedding, so thank you LIW for that! I hope that my review, in turn, helps many future brides plan their weddings. I am at such a wonderful point in my life right now. I am married to my best friend of over five years who loves me unconditionally and who puts a smile on my face each and every day. I had the wedding of my dreams and it truly exceeded our expectations. And if anyone thinks they could POSSIBLY take that away from me, they are dead wrong. It could never, ever happen. We are now having a wonderful time going through proofs and watching our raw video, reliving that perfect day. I’ve said it time and time again – it was the best day of our lives. Seeing my husband at the end of that aisle choking back tears was all it took for me.
Because I am at such a wonderful point in my life, I do not need the negativity or toxicity I am receiving from some of the people on these boards. In all honesty, you people should be enjoying planning your wedding or enjoying spending time with your new husbands instead of taking the time out to badger me and start drama. I wouldn’t want to be friends with ANY of you, and I certainly wouldn’t want to be your fiancés or husbands.
As for those girls with whom I have formed wonderful relationships on here – especially Christina (depoc1011) – you are another reason I am so glad I joined this site. Christina and I became friends when she saw a post that my sister and I were throwing a charity bake sale for hungry children on Long Island and she and her family were so generous to donate food and baked goods to us. She and her FH also came and helped us work the bake sale. Amazing people like this are those with whom I choose to associate and befriend.

“Lauren- I was going to post this on that thread but decided against it. I have realized after being on here almost 2 years that there are a bunch of catty haters here. We have had so many threads about if you had the money what would you do different. So your parents have the money and you were able to do what alot of other girls want to do. Its jealousy. Let me tell you- FH's mom has money but we have just decided to do this all on our own but if we let her we could have had the same wedding that you did. It was our own personal choice. Thats what weddings are all about- you and FH and what is right for you. You decided on your wedding and dont let anyone else let you feel bad or that you have to defend yourself.
Also - please dont let these girls push you off the boards. Stay with us.![]()

This pretty much sums up why this drama is so ridiculous and uncalled for. But just for the record, those girls aren't pushing me off the threads... This is a decision I am making bc I got what I needed and wanted out of this site and now I am done.
I hope you all had as perfect a wedding as I did, and if it hasn’t yet come up – I wish you all the very best!! I promise you that no matter what, it will be the best day of your life. If anyone wishes to FM me or look at my albums or ask my advice or ask me anything about my vendors, I will be very happy to respond. And of course feel free to comment on my official wedding review as well. I am also respectfully requesting that no one leave any nasty or negative remarks here on this thread (or on my review). If you absolutely need to comment on this post in a negative way, send it in a private message so as not to perpetuate drama (although I would rather not receive those FMs anyway). This isn't middle school for God's sake - we are adults!!

ETA: For those who hate the happiness in my life - I also am proud and thrilled to say that in just a few weeks I will be starting my masters at Georgetown. So I will be busy in school instead of worrying about catty drama on a website!!
