My real mother found a dress

no pic yet...but she got it at Davids...she loves it...strapless w/ a wrap, black with a white insert at the bottom and some beading...I haven't seen it yet. Is it a problem that she got black???

I think black is beautiful! All of my bridesmaids were in black and my mother had a black skirt... I think it looked very classy!

ciminok: She's my birth mother and I've never been close to her....I'm holding a lot of animosity and resentment for things that happened growing up and for the way she is now....I also have a step mother who has been a gem of a mom to me from when I was 15 yrs old. I feel closer to her than my 'real' mother

I hear ya.
I call my step mother .. 'mom' but I don't like her a single bit. It's more out of habit and respect for my father.

My 'mother' I generally refer to as my biological mother since she was never a 'real' mother at all. Mostly if im speaking of her I refer to her first name Hilda or just the tone of voice I use when I say 'my mother' is enough to know who im talking about.

Still better than saying 'That woman'
