My recurring wedding-related panic attack

My recurring wedding-related panic attack

So, I ordered my gown. I know, I know, early! But I was worried it would not be carried anymore soon because it is from many many seasons ago. Well, I love the gown. I really do! However, despite trying it on in ivory, I decided to order it in champagne with an ivory overlay. Now, I find myself on a two/three times weekly panic attack schedule about the color!!! I have olive skin so I felt like the ivory was very stark and harsh against my skin... but now I am worried about what it's going to look like!

I frantically google for pictures of people in the gown in the color that I ordered and it looks great on them... I just hope it looks great on me!!!!!!

Anyone else having weekly wedding panic attacks this far in advance? It's lonely over here in anxiety-ville!!!!

First, you are definitely not the only one. I've had anxiety a couple times a week since the planning started.

Second, I'm sure the dress is going to look beautiful on you and since you already ordered it, there's probably nothing you can do about it anyway. So take a deep breath, everything is going to work out the way it's supposed to and you will be stunning on your wedding day.

You are not alone! We really need to make an 'official anxiety thread'

What helps me sometimes, when I get really stressed about the wedding, I have to completely turn it off for a few hours. Just do things totally not wedding related.

Also venting to the LIW girls helps!

I'm sure the dress will look great on you. I know it is harder than it sounds but try to calm down and not stress over it.

Thanks girls!!!... you are right, there is NOTHING I can do about it, either way... but it doesn't stop my brain from churning lol.

The other thing I find myself freaking about is that we signed our hall without negotiating price or asking for anything added in... we took their price and didn't bargain at all... and then I hear things with people lowering the price AND demanding things get thrown in and I'm like omg... omg... omg...

What kinds of things do you all freak about?

I freak our about this too quite often. We didn't negotiate the price or ask for any add-ins. They did throw in the wine bottles on the table for us during dinner, which I guess is an add-in. But, the one thing I keep questioning is dessert. There will so much food for cocktail hour and dinner (that I shouldn't really worry) and the dessert includes the wedding cake and the plated dessert, but I want something else, something a little different....I just don't know how to go about asking for it. I think there is a menu for fox hollow for extras and they didn't show it to us before we booked, and that kind of bothers me that we didn't see it. I think I was so worried about the price going up on the room that it clouded my judgement at the time. So, no you are not alone with your anxiety

I think about the same thing! I have such a sweet tooth Maybe we can just drop hints about how much we love desserts during all of our meetings from now on and maybe they will surprise us? Do they do things like that? lol. If not, maybe saying, 'Listen, we both know I didn't drive a very hard bargain. Can you throw in some extra sweets after dinner?' Sadly I feel like now that they've got our money we're pretty much done but AHHHhhhh I feel your pain!
